House removals
Selling and buying, RM1 to RM7
A household move where the person booking owns the contents and the chain sets the date. The ordinary case, and in Havering usually a larger house than the borough average suggests.
What it involves →Who we act for
Grouped by whose move it legally is, because that decides how much of the job is recording rather than carrying.
Acting in two capacities at once is common here, and it is planned as one job.
You own the contents and the decisions are yours alone.
Selling and buying, RM1 to RM7
A household move where the person booking owns the contents and the chain sets the date. The ordinary case, and in Havering usually a larger house than the borough average suggests.
What it involves →A smaller place, and hard choices
Moving from a family house into something smaller, which in this borough is a substantial share of the work. The removal is straightforward; deciding what goes is not, and it is worth giving that its own time.
What it involves →The dates come from an agreement and an inspection follows.
Check-out times, deposits
Where the date comes from an agreement rather than a solicitor, and somebody is booked to inspect the property afterwards. Planned backwards from the check-out, with margin.
What it involves →The contents are yours; the property is somebody else's home.
Between tenancies, part-furnished
Clearing or furnishing a let between tenancies, moving part-furnished contents in or out, or holding a set of furnishings during a void. Listed properly, because the goods are not the booker's own.
What it involves →You are acting for an estate, and a record matters as much as the move.
Inventory, distribution, disposal
Clearing a family home after a death. Slower, more careful, and documented — an executor needs a record of what was in the property and where it went, not just a van and a day.
What it involves →Arrangements that sit behind whichever of the four applies.
Held while decisions are made
Goods collected, listed and held. Used here as much for thinking time as for date gaps — downsizes and estates both benefit from not deciding everything in one week.
What it involves →Four things, and how urgent the move sounds is not among them. How much is genuinely travelling, taken with a tape rather than inferred from a bedroom count. What the access allows at each end. How much packing you want done. And whether anything is being held while decisions are made.
On landlord and executor instructions there is a fifth: how much recording the job needs. A listed clearance with a three-way split takes longer than an owner move of the same volume, and the quote says so rather than hiding it.
No price, rate card or transit time appears anywhere on this site, because none is knowable before a survey. Begin on the quote form, or read the questions page.
Owner, tenant, landlord or executor — plus the two addresses and roughly what is going. The first of those decides how much of this job is recording.
